Highly recommended by the iYork team - we have personal experience of these exceptional treatments!

Kexby Clinic is a family run oasis of calm and tranquility based in the small village of Kexby. Were based just off the A1079 York to Hull road, only 5 miles from York city centre and around 6 miles from Pocklington. We have plenty of free parking so you wont have any worries about where to put your car. Were also on the main East Yorkshire bus routes to Bridlington, Hull and Pocklington, so there are frequent buses a short walk from the clinic. At Kexbyclinic.com we believe in taking time to understand what you want to achieve from your visit to us, the journey youve been on to reach us and how best we can help you. We know and understand how hectic life can be so we offer flexible appointments to suit your life, whether its evenings, weekends or by prior arrangement we can even visit you at home.We offer a range of treatments including acupuncture, acupressure, Tui Na and fertility & pregnancy treatments. The general theory of acupuncture is based on the premise that bodily functions are regulated by an energy called Qi which flows through the body; disruptions of this flow are believed to be responsible for disease. Acupuncture describes a family of procedures aiming to correct imbalances in the flow of qi by stimulation of anatomical locations on or under the skin (usually called acupuncture points or acupoints), by a variety of techniques. The most common mechanism of stimulation of acupuncture points employs penetration of the skin by thin metal needles, which are manipulated manually or by electrical stimulation.Acupuncture has been used for over 2500 years and has treated hundreds of millions of people around the world for a range of physical, emotional and mental health problems.Acupressure is very similar to Acupuncture (and may be confused), the only difference being that, with Acupressure, there are no needles involved. Acupressure Massage is intended as a healing therapy, not just a relaxation tool. It was founded on the traditional Chinese belief in Qi. Qi is the natural energy that flows through all living things. cupuncture treatment is a wonderful way to maintain optimal health during your pregnancy as it is completely natural and is able to target all of the common complaints that can arise at different stages. It can help with problems such as morning sickness in the first trimester, fatigue and emotional ups and downs, and the inevitable back pain and oedema in the final trimester. It can even help to induce your birth naturally if you go beyond your due date, or turn the baby in the case of a breech presentation. After you have your newborn baby, treatment will help to restore your energy back to its normal levels, ready for the new and exciting challenges of motherhood!Tui Na is pronounced Twee-nah, is one of the essential foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, literally meaning Push & Grab. Tui Na is a type of Oriental bodywork which has been used in China for more than 2,500 years. Diagnosis and treatment are based on the same principles as acupuncture the traditional Chinese medical theory of the flow of Qi through the meridians. Specific techniques are used to work on the meridians and on specific points, to harmonise the balance of Qi allowing the body to heal itself naturally.
